Ginger and Turmeric may be a “new” trend to some, but my grandparents have made me drink ginger in my tea since I was kid anytime I felt like I was coming down with something because it help you heal faster. Being a mom of four school age children there are lots of germs flying around our house. Disinfecting wipes can only do so much. Building up and keeping your immune system strong is important. I started drinking ginger shots a couple of months ago but not only are they expensive they are also hard to find, I have had to buy them online and that has become even more expensive. This led me to make my own. I came across many different recipes and tried different variations. I finally ended up with a recipe that not only works for me but also taste good enough where I can have my children drink it with out cringing. I Have seen a difference in my energy levels, inflammation, appetite, and even bloating.
Each ingredient has its health benefits, Ginger is good for nausea, inflammation and can help fight infection. Turmeric also anti-inflammatory, full of antioxidants, improves digestion and can lower your risk of heart disease. Black pepper is to enhance absorption of turmeric and magnifies their effects. Manuka Honey my favorite improves digestion, and has antibacterial properties. Lemon aids in digestion, improves skin quality, promotes hydration and contains vitamin C. As for the coconut water its hydrating, known for aiding in reducing blood pressure, and can support heart health. These are just some of the health benefits.
